Sergei Lazarev, also known as DJ K-Fear – most traveling DJ of St. Petersburg, resident DJ at Par.Spb and Territory Club in Moscow. He began his DJ career in 1986 with hip-hop movement. In 1988 K-Fear was the one to start first Leningrad hip-hop group – “Copyrighted”. In 1986-91 he took part in countless break-dance festivals where performed as scratch DJ. In 1994 started to play in clubs and that was the time for his first radio-show “Hip-Hop Info”. After this he traveled around the whole country being one of the most requested DJs that time. Within couple next years he changed to house and in 1996 he played for enormous and legendary Baltic festival: “Youth Of Baltic Countries” in Copenhagen. Next year – “Russian Techno-Pioneers” in Helsinki, Finland. K-Fear was the first in St. Petersburg who played on more than 2 turntables. In 1997 K-Fear and his friend Primat were pioneers in the city to play on 4 turntables. Being respected professional he was involved into record studio with such big alternative Russian projects and musicians as Chugunii Skorokhod, Gosti Iz Budushego, Deadushki, Russki Razmer, Chizh and Boris Grebenshikov.

Together with the legendary DJ Shtaket and Primat started “F.U.N.” group. In 1998 he was part of the big “Industry Leaders” DJ tour in Russia which took him in more than 15 cities of Russia – from Murmansk to Urals. Same year F.U.N. (K-Fear and Primat) were winners of DMC-Russia. K-Fear is happy to do what he loves to do. And years show that it does influence his audience – it is increasing and being wide range from old clubbers to young teenagers starting to go to clubs. He plays all types of house from afro, deep house to funky disco grooves.
