Taavo Remmel

 Taavo Remmel (1964) is educated as a classical musician in Tallinn  College of Music and  Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.

 He has worked in Estonian State Symphony Orchestra and in the early music ensemble Hortus Musicus, but his main career has been in many different jazz ensembles and projects (he has made music with Julian Joseph, Chip Crawford, Tiit Paulus, Lembit Saarsalu, Tõnu Naissoo, Tatevik Hovanesjan, Jarmo Savolainen, Bryan Melvin, and other well known musicians).

 He has given concerts in Scandinavia, Central European countries and Canada, also participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in Norway in 1996 and in the united concert of " New York Voices & Estonian Dream Big Band", Ray Anderson, Lew Soloff etc.

You can hear Taavo Remmel`s bass lines on more than 30  CDs. He has written both songs and instrumental music.
